Makeup Monday: Mary Kay Spring 2017 Collection

Pastel beauty is taking over the beauty scene. Now that April is here, I wanted to share some selections from the Mary Kay Spring 2017 Collection, as well as a flirty, pastel sunset eyeshadow look. The Mary Kay Spring 2017 collection is called Light Reinvented – and all the colours are flirty, pastel and perfect for spring. I combined shades from…

The Ultimate Study Outfit + Adidas Neo Advantage Review

Over the past couple years, I've become obsessed with sneakers! I have a few pairs from Adidas, but have been debating between getting a pair of Stan Smiths vs Superstars. I've found the PERFECT balance between each iconic sneaker - keep reading for my Adidas Neo Advantage Review. adidas neo advantage (2 of 5) adidas neo advantage (5 of 5) I'm wearing a striped breton top, jeans from Zara (similar ripped jeans here), a waterfall trench coat, a Mackage mini Rubie bag and Adidas sneakers c/o DSW Canada. adidas neo advantage (1 of 1) These sneakers feature white leather, perforated details (like the Stan Smiths) and adorable rose gold stripes on the outside, like the Superstar. I love how these are streamlined like the Stan Smith sneakers, but feature the iconic three stripes. And rose gold to boot! This pair is also a steal from DSW Canada! Seriously, don't miss out on this pair! They are practically half the price of a pair of Stan Smith sneakers, and come in rose gold. Need I say more?

Clarins Spring 2017: Skincare review

clarins spring 2017 products (1 of 8) It's currently -9C in Ottawa, and over the past few chilly weeks, I've completely fallen in love with the new Hydra-Essentiel line. Every other day, I use the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream for Normal to Combination skin. This cream is incredibly lightweight but very refreshing. It works great overnight after cleansing the face, but is light enough to wear under makeup as well. I take a pea sized amount with a q-tip and spread it over my face and neck, and my skin feels plump and silky smooth. I've noticed that I no longer have flaky skin around my nose! This product is scented, however I find the scent to be gentle and very lovely! clarins spring 2017 products (2 of 8) About two times a week, I increase the moisture factor with the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum. I put this on at night under the cream to really quench my dry winter skin. I don't like to use this everyday, as I find it can be too much. A couple of times a week is perfect for me.

Old Town San Diego Travel Guide

One of my favourite excursions during my visit to San Diego was an afternoon in Old Town San Diego. Founded in 1769, it was the first European settlement on the West Coast and included a mission and a fort. You can experience what is was like to live in 1820-1870s, as many buildings are preserved from that era. During that time,…

March blues

Winter just doesn't give up, it's easy to say we all have a case of March blues. This teal faux fur coat is the perfect cure for gloomy weather! I wore this piece back in Toronto for a chic, yet simple outfit. Layered over a little black dress, a teal faux fur coat adds some much-needed colour and warmth. teal faux fur coat (6 of 8) teal faux fur coat (4 of 8) I wore a vintage teal faux fur coat (similar faux fur coat here), a black knit dress, a leather Kate Spade Belt, suede Myranda boots c/o La Canadienne (also available at Nordstrom here), and a classic Chanel double flap bag from Luxe Touch Designer Consignment. [show_shopthepost_widget id="2515499"]   This is the perfect going out outfit. While a little black dress is timeless, a colourful coat adds personality. Faux fur toppers are a huge trend right now, and the extended winter weather is the perfect excuse to get some use out of them! This coat is vintage (it's from Le Chateau actually!) but there are many options available at budget retailers, in case you're afraid of investing in the trend. I found a near perfect dupe from ASOS and it's on sale!
