Cafe Cancan Toronto Review

Last weekend, a few bloggers joined for a lovely Sunday brunch. We checked out a new spot on Harbord Street in Toronto, Café Cancan. The restaurant was colourful, and the food was equally lively! I’m sharing my Cafe Cancan Toronto Review in case you’re hoping to check it out! cafe cancan toronto (7 of 8) cafe cancan toronto (1 of 8) I’m wearing a beaded shirt dress from Banana Republic, which I picked up in New York City, a pair of gold leather loafers from Winners (similar gold loafers here under $25!), and a purple Kate Spade New York bag. What to wear to an articling interview

span style="font-weight: 400;">Interview week for Toronto articling recruitment is coming up… and I wanted to share what to wear to an articling interview, specifically for the ladies in the summer. I’ve rounded up a few workwear ideas in this post, but wanted to share some corporate interview outfit ideas. While these suggestions are specifically geared to the legal field/Toronto recruitment, they will definitely work for other young women in corporate settings.

What to wear to an articling interview: The classic skirt suit

Ahh the skirt suit. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan. I find skirt suits to be a bit too formal and uncomfortable, especially if you have the same “skirt-twisting” problem as I do. However, an elegant, well-fitted skirt suit can be a confident choice for an articling interview. I’m wearing a lightweight wool skirt suit from Theory. Specifically, I am wearing the Gabe Jacket in Edition Fabric. Theory is by far my favourite suit brand, and I find their cuts to be modern, classic and very timeless. This particular Edition suit was also made in USA, and I found it on discount at HR2 in Vaughan Mills. I really recommend visiting HR2 for great suit options! [show_shopthepost_widget id="2772565"]

Free things to do in Madrid: Retiro Park

One of the highlights of visiting Madrid was Retiro Park. If you’re looking for free things to do in Madrid, the park is your best bet! You can watch people in rowboats in the water, or visit art installations at the stunning Crystal Palace, or Palacio de Cristal. madrid palacio de cristal (6 of 8) On our visit to the Crystal Palace, I wore a wrap dress from Primark (similar dress here), leather gladiator sandals from Athens (similar style here), and a blue leather bag from London (similar style here). The Crystal Palace, or Palacio de Cristal is a large structure, that used to be used to exhibit flora and fauna from the Phillipines. The structure is stunning and very impressive.
