Best Curtains for Condos: My TWOPAGES Review

TWOPAGES Jawara Linen Curtains Review

If you’re looking for curtains for condos, or have larger rooms that require custom solutions, TWOPAGES is a great place to shop for custom, made to measure curtains in a wide range of colours and materials. I ordered the Jawara Luxury Linen Cotton Curtains in Triple French Pleat for our primary bedroom in our Toronto condo, and we are so happy with the results. TWOPAGES generously gifted us these curtains, but we’ve already decided to order another set for our second bedroom!

Previously, we lacked privacy in our bedroom, but didn’t want to rush with a big box option or a classic window shade. I wanted linen curtains that made our condo feel like a home, and TWOPAGES delivered!

How to Choose Curtains for Condos

Before I get into my review, I wanted to share some tips for selecting curtains for your condo or home:

  • Go floor-to-ceiling whenever possible: this makes your ceilings look higher and gives that elevated, hotel-like feel
  • Custom sizing is key, condo windows are rarely standard, and you may need to work around HVAC, columns or other elements.
  • Think about light vs privacy, especially in bedrooms. You may not need full blackout if you want to filter some light in the morning.
  • Check condo rules: some buildings require curtains to appear white from the exterior

For me, I knew I wanted linen curtains for a condo bedroom for a soft, elevated, and not too heavy or formal aesthetic.

TWOPAGES Jawara Linen Curtain Review

TWOPAGES is famous for their linen curtains, and I chose the Jawara Luxury Linen Cotton Curtain because it has a 73% linen and 27% cotton composition. I love that Jawara line also has a lovely linen slub texture and a solid weight. We chose the “Off-white” colourway, which reads a bit more warm. For our second bedroom, I might order the plain White option next time! TWOPAGES also offers free fabric swatches of their curtains (you just need to pay shipping), which I recommend in case you’re trying to colour match. After having the curtains in our bedroom for a few months now, I’m extremely pleased with the material, weight and finishing of these curtains.

If you're looking for curtains for condos, definitely look into ordering some from TWOPAGES.
Pre-trained memory shape curtains are a must - they're ready to hang and give you the designer look right out of the box.

One thing to note is that you can choose your pleat style – we did a Triple French Pleat and ordered the curtains “trained” as shown above, so that you don’t need to pleat, fold and train them upon arrival. They also came with two hook options including the ingenious adjustable plastic hooks to get the perfect length. All we needed to do was add hooks and hang them, as pictured in my TikTok video below.

I think the best part about ordering curtains from TWOPAGES was how simple the process was. After entering my measurements, the curtains arrived a few weeks later and were ready to hang. Typically, if you were buying drapery fabric you would need to calculate a multiplier for the pleats, but TWOPAGES does that work for you! I was in awe when I hung my Jawara Linen Curtains and the length was PERFECT. There was nothing dragging on the ground, I’m typically accustomed to last minute hemming on my sewing machine or at a tailor! This makes it so easy, and is a great way to achieve that custom look in your home.

Transform your condo with cozy, designer-inspired linen curtains.

Overall, the curtains for our windows would be about $700 Canadian, and for a cotton/linen blend for a huge window, this price is unbeatable given the material and labour involved! We spent about the same amount for half the panels in our second bedroom to have custom made, and the result was not right, had to have them hemmed again, and the result feels less “full” when hung. After my experience working with Twopages, I plan on always ordering window treatments from them!

Tips for Ordering Curtains for Condos

Here are some tips for ordering custom curtains from the TWOPAGES website:

  1. Measure carefully. I measured my windows twice and had my husband double check. We also added 1″ to the bottom and 2″ to the width, or you can round up. We measured the entire width of the window and divided it in half for two panels, but you could divide the width by 3, 4, 6 etc depending on the number of panels you want to cover your overall window.
  2. Choose your pleat style. As noted above, we chose the triple french pleat option to get a high-end look.
  3. Let TWOPAGES calculate fullness. This was one of my favourite aspects about ordering from TWOPAGES. Unlike my previous experience ordering fabric, the website does the math for you and once you select your pleat type and enter your single panel size, TWOPAGES will construct the curtains to have enough width post-pleats to cover your windows when hung!
  4. Select your privacy lining based on your needs.
  5. Order the curtains with the body memory shaping! This is well worth it, since you will get the perfect, pleated designer look right out of the box.
  6. Choose fewer, wider panels. We opted for two large panels to cover the window, which has a more custom feel than having 4+ panels.

For reference, I’ve included my exact specifications we ordered in the photos below:

Hanging TWOPAGES Curtains

Luckily, I had curtain tracks already installed in my condo from when we moved in. We did have to reinforce the track with an extra bracket (a testament that these curtains are weighty and lovely!), but you simply add the plastic hanging hooks into each pleat and hang it onto your loops.

TWOPAGES also sells some lovely rod and track options if that works better for your home. Because my condo window goes the full height, our track runs along the ceiling, which again, can give you that luxurious hotel vibe, and your eye isn’t drawn to a curtain rod – you achieve a seamless effect!

I literally hung these curtains on my own, filming the process in about 15-30 minutes. I loved that the process was simple and the pre-trained panels give you that perfect finish immediately after hanging them.

I have recommended TWOPAGES curtains to other friends in our building and love the way they look in our primary bedroom. For under $1000, I love that they are made of natural materials, come ready to hang and I didn’t have to memory train them! Compared to my experience having curtains made locally, I appreciated how professional and easy the entire process was and can’t wait to add them to other windows in our home and cottage.

I love the way this simple change transformed our bedroom by adding a cozy layer of warmth and texture. Thank you so much for the brand for working with me, but I look forward to supporting them more in the future!
