One of my favourite memories from my trip to NYC this Spring was spending the day in SoHo. The weather was gorgeous, and we had so much fun exploring the shops, sights and eats.
For our visit to SoHo in New York, I am wearing a blue Zara dress with bell sleeves (similar dress under $15 here), Adidas Neo Advantage sneakers (I raved about them here), and a Mackage mini Rubie bag.
Shop the look:
Our first stop was obviously Ladurée. I can’t wait for it to open in Toronto! We picked up some macarons and took some pictures outside the pistacchio-hued shop. I love how this shop feels authentic in the chic SoHo neighbourhood… it makes me disappointed Toronto’s version is opening up in a shopping mall! Beware, you’re not allowed to take photos inside the store (which was not the case in London at Harrods), but we were able to snap some pics from outside the window.
We spent most of the time exploring numerous shops, including Chanel, YSL, Chloé and Reformation. Our favourite shop was without a doubt, the Mansur Gavriel pop-up shop. The walls, displays and furniture were all millenial pink, and the luxurious leather goods were so minimal and gorgeous. This shop is pretty much the basis of my sister Sasha’s architecture thesis, and an example of how architecture and design is now being built for our Instagram feeds.
After some pizza in Greenwich village, Sabina and I visited the Brooklyn bridge! It was our first time visiting the bridge, and I was in awe of the massive structure.
This outfit was super cute and comfy for exploring SoHo and downtown New York. My dress was made of cotton which kept me cool, while the longer sleeves transitioned well into the evening when it started to get nippy. My Adidas sneakers were also so comfortable and I could walk around all day long. To transition this look into the fall, I would keep the sneakers and swap the dress for a top version and wear it with a pair of jeans.
I’m working on planning my next getaway to New York soon, and these pictures have me completely wanderlust! In Toronto, we’ve had such a warm September and October, I’ve had the opportunity to remake this outfit, including the blue Zara dress, and explore my own city. I’m having a bit of trouble transitioning into my fall wardrobe (even though I’ve bought a couple nice pairs of boots), so I wanted to share this outfit and travel post before the last leaves fall!
