Welcome to New York

Last week, my sister and I travelled to NYC for 36 hours of fun, shopping and sightseeing. Thank you Keds, Glamour and American Eagle for choosing me as the winner of the BraveHearts Challenge! It was an amazing trip and the weather was perfect for spending all day and night on our feet exploring. Naturally, I wore my favourite pair of Kate Spade by Keds cork sneakers to stay comfy and stylish!

I’m wearing Kate Spade by Keds cork sneakers, a white blouse from Forever 21, boyfriend jeans from H&M (similar boyfriend jeans at Anthropologie), mint coat c/o SheInside, black Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC and a cabuchon bracelet c/o Yoins.

This outfit was comfy and casual, but stylish enough for a night out. My sister and I entered the lottery and scored tickets to see Kinky Boots! Which was the most perfect musical to see, because it’s literally all about shoes!

Earlier in the day, we stopped by Bryant Park for a snack and I was surprised to find an outdoor skating rink already open! I wish I had time to strap on a pair of skates and join in. People were skating in t-shirts too, which was surreal.

Of course, I couldn’t visit NYC without stopping by the New York City Public Library. This beautiful building is home to a stunning reading room (had I stayed longer, I would have done my readings there), and the original toys belonging to A.A. Milne’s son, Christopher Robin that inspired my favourite children’s books, Winnie-the-Pooh.

Times Square was so busy during the day, but we went on an American Eagle shopping spree as part of the contest, after seeing Kinky Boots and we were probably in the store for a couple hours all alone till they closed! My sister and I stocked up on gorgeous high-waisted jeans, comfy sweaters and cute pyjamas from Aerie.

Hanging out in Times Square without the crowds and taking in the city was the perfect end to a perfect day in New York City, especially accompanied by Welcome to New York by Taylor Swift as a soundtrack!
