Prabal Gurung for Target Dress & Daffodils

A little while back when the weather was nicer (can’t believe May was better than April so far), I spent the day vintage shopping on Queen West with Bobby Raffin, and then we stopped for an impromptu shoot at Osgoode Hall.

I’m wearing my Prabal Gurung for Target collection dress. I was lucky to get a piece from the floral print collection, my mom found it on clearance in Florida (now even more on sale!), and in my size to boot! I love the symmetrical photographic flower print. It reminds me of pieces from his high end line, and the georgette fabric seems to be very high quality. The contrast between the flower print and black is slimming and makes it appropriate for winter as well. The length is also in that sweet spot between a cocktail dress, and one appropriate enough for a work or formal event. I found this collection to be a bit underrated considering the opportunity to scoop up a dress akin to one selling for much much more from the up and coming designer.

I accessorized with a J. Crew bubble necklace, overstock cat eye sunglasses from Black Market on Queen, and purple suede pumps from Zara (similar here).

We snapped pics of each other’s outfits, and people watched as the tourists went by.

I’m thinking of re-wearing this dress for convocation on Monday. I can’t believe it’s come this quick, and I have nothing to wear! Ok, that’s a stretch, but let me know in the comments below if you think this dress will work for a graduation.
