For Halloween this year, I was one of my favourite childhood characters... Sailor Moon! My Sailor Moon costume was actually a repeat outfit, from when I was a child! My mother sewed the costume for me from a McCall pattern (which I'm sure I still have...) and made it in the largest size. I added a pair of gorgeous red leather over the knee boots, white gloves and a toy Sailor Moon's wand to complete the look.

After a chilly weekend, one thing is clear: fall is finally here. I've already swapped loafers for over the knee boots. Here I've paired the OTK boots with an acid green trench coat, denim and an embroidered blouse for an elegant fall look.
I'm wearing a bright green trench coat from Primark (similar here), embroidered blouse from Anthropologie, J Brand skinny jeans and Chinese Laundry Samantha over the knee boots c/o DSW Canada.
I love the way these taupe over the knee boots compliment this colourful fall outfit. I feel that a pair of black boots would have been too harsh with my green trench coat. The Samantha style from Chinese Laundry are tall enough for my height, which is a huge plus. I also like the contrast between the slouchy construction and the stiletto heel. I feel that OTK boots elevate any outfit into a chic, trendy look. They're also super warm, so over the knee boots are definitely here to stay!
