Happy Halloween! I wanted so share a quick DIY Floral painted pumpkin that will add some glam to your Halloween decor.

Step 1: Paint your pie pumpkin in one solid shade. I used an acrylic turquoise paint, but if you’re using a lighter shade, I recommend priming the pumpkin with white first. Repeat this step for 2-3 coats until the colour is solid.

Step 2: Take a light pink colour and paint on thick, large globs. This will become the base of your peony flowers. Let dry completely.

Step 3: Go over the base colour with a mix of your base flower colour and white. Keep the paint thick to add texture.

Step 4: Use a darker paint colour, mixed with some white to add more depth to the centre of the flowers.

Step 5: Go in with a yellow (or orange) with a thin paintbrush to create the centres of the flowers. I suggest using small oblong dabs or “C” shapes.
