Made in Chelsea

On my first day in London, I visited the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. I also had the chance to tour around the posh Chelsea and Kensington areas. For an afternoon of exploring, I wore a red floral wrap dress c/o Yoins, espadrilles from Nine West, a Medium MAB tote by Rebecca Minkoff from Nordstrom and a lace choker.

This wrap dress is a gorgeous transitional piece. I love the deep berry colour and muted floral print. It has an elegant shape and is very forgiving. I paired it with a comfy pair of espadrilles, which were perfect for exploring the city.

Rebecca Minkoff Medium MAB Tote review

My Rebecca Minkoff Medium MAB tote was handy for storing everything, including my camera. The thick, rolled handles also made it comfortable on my shoulder. However, the weight of the bag itself kind of wore me out by the end of the day! The straps also started to rip (I’ve worn it maybe all of 10 times), so I decided to return it to Nordstrom. Thankfully they were apologetic and accepted the return!

I usually always love Rebecca Minkoff bags and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed with a bag. The saffiano leather also picked up a lot of dirt, which made the bag look used and tired. The main issue though, were the fact that the inside of the handles (where they meet the bag) started to fray. For the price, I definitely expected more.

Museums in London

I really enjoyed visiting the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. For me, it was the perfect balance between art, costume and antiquities. Literally everything I love is in this museum and I can’t wait to spend an entire day there. Another memorable moment was having a cup of tea and gluten-free dessert in the V&A cafe. There was an incredible pianist that made my first day in London that much more special.

Next, we stopped at the Museum of Natural History and I loved seeing the dinosaurs and the Volcano exhibit. Again, I’d love to spend more time there!

I loved getting to explore the charming streets around Chelsea in London. We stopped at Whole Foods for a snack, and even a charity shop where I picked up a brand new pair of Paige jeans for 12 pounds!

I can’t wait to share more from my London trip in upcoming posts on my blog!
