Last Thursday, it was still slightly warm, so that I could wear my coat open, no Ultra Light Down, and skip a scarf too! My turtleneck sweater kept me warm as the winds picked up, meanwhile it was a constant struggle from having my hat fly off and get blown down 33rd street. I was so excited to attend NYFW this season, and while I was tempted to wear something daring and outrageous, I wanted to stick to a classic look in my favourite soft, pastel tones. This look is all about my pink coat, and from watching other attendees, NYFW in February is all about outerwear, which I found so inspiring! In winter, our coats and jackets are one of the only ways we get to express our style, so seeing fabulous fur, shearling jackets and architectural wool coats was a definite style inspiration for me. I wore this snakeskin print bow tie blouse with a suede skirt from Forever 21, over the knee boots & a leather bag for a chic look while visiting Montreal back in October. Whenever I visit, I like to stop by the Musée des Beaux Arts and fell in love with the Secret Garden, sculptures and beautiful houses that adorned the adjacent street. I felt that my outfit of earth tones matched the setting perfectly with the red bricks and wrought iron gates. This little street is also at the foot of Mont Royal, which is another must-see when you're in the city.
