Belmont Park

My sister knew the perfect place... Belmont Park. This park, complete with a vintage white wooden coaster and carousel, was set along a strip of sand at Mission Beach. We went there on my last day in San Diego, caught the sunset and had some ice cream. To match the vintage scenery, I wore a pastel blue Dixa Layered Lace Dress from Ted Baker, a black chain hand bag (similar here) and macaron heels from Daisy Street available at ASOS. May Flowers

This season, I'm embracing bright, colourful pieces, experimenting with volume and adding some life into old closet favourites with new accessories. The inspiration for this outfit were the little crocus flowers peeking out of the ground a couple weeks ago. I wore this purple midi skirt outfit to church on Easter weekend and then on a date to visit Allan Gardens to see the spring bulbs! dsw watercolour sandals (3 of 13)dsw watercolour sandals (11 of 13) I'm wearing a yellow scalloped top from H&M (old, similar here), a purple midi skirt c/o Chicwish, watercolour Maddox sandals by Nicole Miller Artelier c/o DSW Canada, and a Kate Spade bag. dsw watercolour sandals (9 of 13) dsw watercolour sandals (4 of 13) dsw watercolour sandals (12 of 13) These watercolour sandals from DSW Canada are perfect for summer. I love the graphic watercolour/graffiti print, it's definitely edgy and completely different. What I really love about these heels are the fun leather tassles. Tassles and pom poms are a trendy detail, so keep your eye out while you're shopping. I think these heels will also go well with a pair of skinny jeans and a white tee, or to jazz up a plain white dress this summer. The warm weather has me excited for more fun summer fashion to come! Coach Rogue bag review

My first designer handbag was from Coach... I remember going to the Eaton Centre and purchasing it, with my first month's worth of paycheques from my part time job. I've cherished it since, and picked up a few more Coach pieces along the way. I've always been a huge fan of their leather pieces, so I absolutely couldn't say no to making a Coach Rogue bag review. coach rogue bag review (7 of 10)coach rogue bag review (4 of 10) I'm wearing an olive Coach Rogue Bag, a striped lantern sleeve shirt from SheIn, embellished boyfriend jeans from H&M, and scalloped Finnley heels from Nine West. The ripped jeans keep the puffy-sleeved shirt from looking too "Anne of Green Gables" while the scalloped heels add a girly touch to the look. I love how this outfit juxtaposes masculine elements (the jeans and the bag) with feminine style. The Coach Rogue bag, from the Coach 1941 line, comes in dozens of colours. Embellished with flowers, snakeskin, fringed, grommeted... the Coach Rogue has already taken many forms. I'm wearing the black copper and olive Coach Rogue in Glovetanned Pebble leather, in the regular size. I find that it's perfect for storing essentials, including my DSLR, wallet, water bottle, notebook, an iPad/e-reader and a mini umbrella. I also love that it has a few compartments and a convenient, built-in change purse with a vintage clasp. The feet on the bottom, piping and leather-covered metal handles add structure and function to the bag.

Feathers and Chanel + Thoughts of the past three years of law school

Chanel Jumbo bag feather coat (10 of 10) Chanel Jumbo bag feather coat (6 of 10) I'm wearing a feather jacket from Winners (similar feather jacket here), black dress from Kate Spade New York, glitter booties from Hudson's Bay (similar glitter booties here), and a Chanel Jumbo bag from Luxe Touch Designer Consignment. Yesterday, I had my last law school lecture. It's crazy that law school is coming to an end, and it has been an incredibly challenging but rewarding time. I've forged many relationships with my peers and mentors, that have pushed me to be curious, hard-working and kind. Just yesterday, I learned about a new legal area - artificial intelligence in the employment law context, and one of my peers told me all about Electronic fibre computers and their military applications. Law school is a really cool place. It's easy to get swept up in all the readings, assignments and 100% exams, but for the most part, I'll remember inspiring guest lectures, cross-examining witnesses, making closing statements in a real courtroom and talking about nerdy things at my CIPPIC clinic placement. I am so excited to be done, but it's all starting to get a little bittersweet. I'm moving back to Toronto on April 30, and packing away this segment of my life. My law school journey started with me researching employment law when I found myself in a shady post-journalism-graduate internship. I then studied for the LSAT for a year (and took it three times!), applied to several law schools and agonized over the wait. I applied to Interior Design School, and as I was about to pay my application fee, I got the call from Ottawa U in early summer 2014 and jumped! I went to J. Crew that day and bought two blazers... I've since tripled my collection.

Makeup Monday: Mary Kay Spring 2017 Collection

Pastel beauty is taking over the beauty scene. Now that April is here, I wanted to share some selections from the Mary Kay Spring 2017 Collection, as well as a flirty, pastel sunset eyeshadow look. The Mary Kay Spring 2017 collection is called Light Reinvented – and all the colours are flirty, pastel and perfect for spring. I combined shades from…
