Westmount

As I write this, Montréal feels a lot chillier than my last visit in November. I’m glad we had a sunny Sunday stroll through the beautiful Westmount neighbourhood, and had a chance to visit Mont Royal. Looking back, I feel like I overdressed in this cozy teddy bear coat, beret, and over the knee boots.

I’m wearing a teddy bear coat from H&M, a black dress from Target, a light blue beret from Paris, a faux croc purse from Forever 21, and Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots.

This outfit is very cozy, practical and warm. My Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots are very comfortable and add a layer of warmth. I love how sleek they are, and almost look like leather leggings. I’m sad to say that this was the first and last time I wore these beautiful studded leather gloves, which I bought in New York. I hope their new owner enjoys the cashmere lining! As for my beret, I was resistant to the trend at first, but am slowly starting to love them as a chic alternative to a tuque. I tend to go for light pastel colours, and make sure to have hair showing in the front so you avoid the dreaded “mushroom head” look.

We captured the beautiful Westmount neighbourhood of Montréal, filled with lovely homes and golden trees. Near the park, it’s a lovely place to visit, and I look forward to more afternoon walks when spring comes.

You also can’t go wrong by ending your day with a sunset on Mont Royal. With fall’s rich colours, it was a total delight. There’s lots of trail construction on the way back down, so be prepared to get a little lost and take in the views.
