Tropical blues: printed midi dress

After a fresh dusting of snow here, it’s nice to think back to warmer weather, and warmer outfits. As I get ready this morning, I’m reaching for a cozy striped sweater, jeans and wool socks, and I can only dream of wearing a floral printed dress like this. It’s crazy that these photos were taken only three weeks ago during Christmas vacation…

I’m wearing a blue and white printed midi dress c/o Missguided, t-strap wedge shoes from Amsterdam, assorted jewelry from Forever 21 and Persunmall, and an eye necklace from Ha-Choo gift shop in Apsley, ON.

I love the porcelain print on this dress, and the form-fitting silhouette. The midi-length makes it formal for dinners, or you can make it party ready with a pair of platform sandals as well.

I love these shoes, which my sister bought in an Amsterdam market. They are comfortable and streamlined, I so wish I could go back and buy another pair (or few) in more colours.

My accessories complete this look. I love the eye necklace, complete with teardrop, especially because I used to doodle crying eyes on the margins of my math homework (emo alert!) I also love my gold rings, because I’m a huge fan of mixing metals.

This look is tropical, but can be worn in wintery climates too, if I were to add a leather jacket or wool topper, some tights and booties. You can see how I’ve styled it before at Toronto Fashion Week.

And great to hear that you still love to wear items from the Netherlands, that makes me a little bit proud of my country, hihi! 😉
