H&M MMVA Pre-Party

After attending the GUESS event Thursday, I crossed the street to pop into H&M’s pre-party for the MMVAs.  One of my favourite bands, Dragonette provided the entertainment for the event while guests sipped on Stella Artois and mango bubble teas.

While the party was winding down, that didn’t stop any guests (namely me) from taking advantage of the special 20% off your total purchases that evening.  I indulged myself with some amazing pieces.

I picked up this beautiful purple dress with a gold belt from their newest collection.  I love the muted mauves and floral prints in this collection that are reminiscent of the infamous “Flora” pattern by Gucci. I love the way this purple dress has so much versatility and elegance for a low price.

I snagged these palazzo pants from the limited-edition Divided line.  They weren’t in my size, but they looked amazing with the wedges I was wearing and I can’t resist accordion pleats this summer!

I also picked up a short orange blazer for a mere $29.95, plus the discount on top of that!  It definitely beats Zara’s version at a whopping $79.99.  I like orange for summer, because it adds that perfect amount of punch to an outfit.

I loved his bag… maybe I’m biased because I have my own Cambridge Satchel in purple (which I was sporting that night…), but this colour looked cool and bright in real life!

This shirt was so amazing.  Available at Holt Renfrew, but I might try my own DIY version soon.

But the best part of the party? Having one of my favourite stores practically empty for me to shop.

Great review! This is exactly the type of blog post that needs to be shared around the web. Sad on the Bing for not positioning this blog post higher!
