Cross-Border Shopping Finds

Yesterday, I went cross-border shopping to pick up unique pieces and take advantage of the amazing exchange rate.  While the shelves were emptier and gearing up for back to school- can you believe it? I still managed to pick up a few unique pieces and added to my shoe collection.

These leather wedge shoes are called “Cleo” MRKT from DSW.  They were on clearance and were such a steal!  I got so many compliments today, and I think theyre the perfect shoe to transition into fall because their structure is stiff and almost boot-like.  I will definitely pair these black sandals with opaque burgundy tights come fall.

Summer is all about shorts for me!  While they’re not workplace appropriate, I spend half of my summer lazing around at the cottage or grabbing ice caps, so this cute retro floral print was a must!  I also fell in love with this retro telephone necklace from Forever XXI. My mother literally had to drag me out of the store because I wanted to buy a pile of white lace dresses, kimonos and  shorts. Not only would the border guard be on our case, but my closet is over-flowing with fast-fashion items.

I could not resist these floral print kitten-heeled pumps. As you can already tell, I love adding a punch of floral print in a drab outfit!  These shoes are comfy and don’t make me into a 6′ amazon lady… and don’t worry, I promise not to match the shoes and shorts together.

Walden Galleria mall is getting a new addition; H&M, which is kind of sad when you consider that even Pickering and Dufferin Mall have locations…Hopefully Zara will be next, the prices in Canada are skyrocketing. I also picked up a beautiful floor lamp from Target, and a few other items. I’m hoping that the next time I travel to Williamsville, the stores will have more stock and be less of a ghost town!
