Now that summer is officially here, I love mixing colours to create a cheery palette. I was inspired by citrus and pulled together pieces that were bright and bold.
I’m wearing a citron yellow cardigan c/o Nowistyle, a white tank with orange embroidery from Hollister, peach pedal pusher pants from H&M, a green J. Crew bubble necklace, loafers from Joe Fresh and a Kate Spade iPad case.
At first, I thought that my green necklace would clash with the yellow cardigan, but I think the look is monochromatic and fun.
My shoes are one of my favourites… while the canvas isn’t the comfiest, I love the graphic print, the loafer style and the cute kitten heel. They were a steal from Joe Fresh last summer.
Last, but not least, I injected some neutral into the look with my black and white Kate Spade iPad case. I love the bird print, and the orange inside that also matches my look. My mom picked this case up for me on her last trip to Florida, and I love the way it is a cute yet functional tech accessory.
I think this look would be perfect for an internship… as long as colour is allowed in your office, the low heels are practical and demure, the capri & cardi combo is classic, and the accessories add a personal touch into an outfit. While the colour palette is outrageous, I feel that this formula with more neutral pieces mixed in could be a great office-appropriate look.
