One of my favourite parts about visiting the tropics every winter is enjoying colourful fruit with every meal. It’s so easy to grab a plate and fill it with cantaloupe, watermelon, pomegranates and bananas. Your drinks come with fruit in them, your desserts…natch. This outfit was inspired by the bright colours of my resort and all the delicious local fruits that dominate my diet every time I go south. My homage to Brazillian dancer, Carmen Miranda is in my Versace for H&M shorts… which are almost as colourful as her famous fruit hat.
I am wearing fruit printed shorts from the Versace for H&M Cruise collection, a pink crochet lace top from Sirens (the biggest steal ever!), an H&M bandeau top underneath and jewelry from Forever 21 and Florida.
I love the texture of this shirt and how, from far away, it appears as if you are not wearing a top underneath. It has a stiff shape, but made from such a soft cotton.
The shorts have an amazing print, with raspberries, butterflies and strawberries falling all over the short shorts. I also love the luxe gold grommets and grommets. It’s unfortunate these were only available online in Europe, I found the cruise collection very wearable and these shorts (along with the matching bathing suit) are a whimsical addition to my summer and resort wardrobe.
