I arrived half an hour before the event started, and there was already a queue. I had one mission in mind, get the turquoise dog clutch and gator glasses I’ve been coveting for a couple months now.
Guests could shop leisurely and were lucky to beat the crowds. Even at the preview, a lot of the most coveted items (the turquoise clutch and beauty case) sold out at the event. These guests had fun trying on the sunglasses, that are whimsical and OTT.
Guests were treated to blueberry vodka cocktails that were inspired by the line. They were delicious and so cute in turquoise. I also devoured a mint-coloured macaron, I didn’t take a picture because they were all snatched up. And ended up in my belly.
H&M Canada’s PR girl was so stylish, and gets cred for combining both the ADRxH&M and Versace x H&M collection from last year. The stacked snake bangles and fluo pochette are super cute accessories.
But what was in my shopping bag(s)? I decided to have some fun this afternoon and Coveteur’d the baubles I picked up at this special collection for the fast fashion brand.
These were my favourite items I picked up from the collection. The turquoise clutch, $69.95 is fun and the perfect statement bag. I love the charms on the side (a shoe, heart and the letter A- perfect for Ast) and of course the dog clasp, that was inspired by Dello Russo’s dog, Cucciolina. In the centre is a turquoise cuff ($59.95) that features stunning gold filligree (inspired by Dello Russo’s furniture in her apartment) and a heavy turquoise stone. The metal is super heavy and well constructed, my only criticism is the plastic-y stone. The cuff also comes in brown. Lastly, I fell in love with this snake choker ($59.95) that instantly adds appeal to a plain white or black blouse, or your favourite LBD.
I picked up two pairs of sunglasses (plus doubles for my mom and sister). The gold pair feature a gold glass and are super elegant! I love cat eye frames and this pair is perfect for the glam jet-set.
I love these gator glasses! So chic and so unexpected. They are wonderful quality too… very heavy plastic and gorgeous rhinestone details.
Did I mention jet-set? Meet this gorgeous luggage set. The carry-on, $179, features spinner wheels, gorgeous filligree applique to the front and very good organization on the inside.
I bought the matching beauty case, $129, because it’s the perfect compliment to the case, and I love having a full set. I find the price of the case a bit steep though!
I thought the packaging for this collection was stunning. I love the gold tassles to open the box, and the intricate embossed design on the cover. Turquoise and gold is such a beautiful combination, and the boxes that house the baubles inside are just as covetable!
The collection is fabulous, and I know I will be incorporating pieces into my wardrobe to add a dose of Anna’s OTT style.
