While there might still be single-digit temperatures outside in Canada and all of us have cancelled our trips to sunny destinations, I wanted to share the Johanna Ortiz for H&M collection to bring the tropics to your living room! This fabulous collection from the Colombian designer featured stunning prints in a wide variety of silhouettes including kaftans, swimwear, gowns, linen shirt dresses and my favourite, chic wrap dresses! I’m sharing two dresses from the Johanna Ortiz for H&M Collection, which you still might be able to snag online!
I’m wearing the Crêped Wrap-Front Dress in Beige/Leaf Print from Johanna Ortiz for H&M. I styled it with a pair of flower earrings from Olive & Piper and a pair of minimalist sandals from JustFab. This monstera leaf print is my favourite from the Johanna Ortiz for H&M collection, and I’m truly overjoyed I was able to snag this dress. While I ended up buying a size Large, because it’s a wrap, it can be tied tightly to fit. I love the versatility of a wrap dress and can see myself wearing this to a formal event with heels and a clutch, or with a carefree rattan bag and sandals for a summer day. If you see this dress available from the Johanna Ortiz for H&M collection, don’t hesitate to pick it up, even if it’s 1 or 2 sizes larger than your regular size!
The second dress I picked up from the collection was the Crêped Ruffle Dress in Dark Brown/Wild Roses from Johanna Ortiz x H&M. I bought this dress is a size small, but it was far too large for me! Definitely size down in this style, which was also available in the beautiful yellow bird print. I paired this Johanna Ortiz for H&M dress with a pair of leather slides from H&M. Sadly, the size 8.5 was really a European 40, and I’m still debating if I will return them or not! They look exactly like Bottega Veneta slides, and I’m a tad obsessed.
I like the ruched details of this dress at the cuffs, as well as the ruffles, but wish the neckline was more open to balance out the long skirt. I think if you sewed up the front slit, it would be a wonderful piece for modest fashion! Overall, I love the pink rose print and the luxurious weight of the fabric.

It was so much fun getting dressed up and pretending my condo was a tropical oasis. I definitely think surrounding yourself with plants, beautiful dresses and strapping on a pair of heeled sandals is an instant mood booster!
