April in Paris sounds like a good idea right now, because as I write this outside my window, all I can see are snow-covered rooftops and slushy streets. I’ve been dying to transition into a cute spring dress, trench and heels. I wore this Banana Republic shirt dress with warm tights and TOMS booties for a transitional look. While I can’t wait to wear this dress with bare legs and lace up flats and a sun hat, for now, I love the way this dress looks with a wool topper and booties.
I’m wearing a Banana Republic shirt dress, wedge booties c/o TOMS, Whitacker Place Elena bag from Kate Spade NY, necklace, bracelet and earrings c/o Hillberg & Berk, gold bow watch from Kate Spade and sunglasses c/o Polette.

I adore the arty brushstroke print of this dress. It’s very unique and I love all the shades of blue. I also think this dress works in the winter (as I’ve worn here) or with crisp neutrals or white accessories in the summer.
My suede TOMS booties are the perfect transitional shoe. They work great with a dress, but also can be worn casually with jeans and a jacket. I love the metallic tweed detail, which is a very luxurious touch, and also makes them feel more dressy!
For my accessories, I kept it simple to let the print of the dress stand out. A classic quilted black bag, and some gold jewelry adds just enough glam to the statement dress. You can check out a review of the Hillberg & Berk pieces I’m wearing as well!
I can’t wait to wear this versatile dress all spring long. I love the flowy a-line shape, which is very flattering for women looking to minimize hips and accentuate your waist. I also plan on swapping out the belt for a leather one to really cinch the look too. Let me know in the comments below what spring pieces you’re excited to wear!
