Shop till you drop

Last week, I went on a mission… with articling interviews coming up later this summer, I wanted to make sure I had the perfect power suit to dress the part (which is half the battle!). I didn’t have a huge budget…so I was so excited to have a chance to ride the Vaughan Mills shopping shuttle from downtown to the mall so I didn’t have to worry about traffic, finding parking or gas! Even though I live in North York, the shopping shuttle was really convenient. It departs just outside Union Station at 10:00 a.m. and arrives a mere 25-40 minutes later. We didn’t even snag any traffic, so a couple Instagram posts later, we arrived. The bus also had WiFi which made the drive fly by. Also… how cute is it? I love the refreshing floral print on the bus.

I had an amazing time shopping with Sarah from Real Life Runway. She was a great shopping companion and helped me decide on the perfect Theory suit from hr2. I got it for a major steal (over 40% off), which is great for a law student on a budget.

I also had the chance to check out the brand new Sephora location which was GORGEOUS. I loved how bright and airy this location is… most Sephoras can feel crowded and a bit too dark, but I loved the high ceilings, wide aisles and great lighting. I was even able to discern which Becca highlight gave the perfect glow.

For lunch, we stopped at Chipotle for burrito bowls, which was the perfect healthy fuel. At 3 p.m., the bus headed back downtown to Union station, and it was the perfect opportunity to relax and catch up on my Twitter feed. Beyond tourists visiting the city, the #VMShoppingShuttle is a great option for those that are car-less in Toronto, if you live downtown, or if you’re looking for an eco-friendly way to get to the outlet mall.
