Red white and blue

Happy fourth of July to all my American friends! To celebrate Independence Day, I wore a red white and blue dress c/o Pink Martini and a matching red bag. I wore this look to the zoo, an ice cream date on Ossington and by the Harbourfront. The Bloom Where You’re Planted dress was comfortable and breezy for a hot day, it would make the perfect piece for a summer wedding! Pink Martini Collection is also a Canadian label, and I’ve fallen in love with their girly, retro style.

The cut-outs on this dress are really special. They add some sculptural interest and give this a-line dress some edge. The shape of this dress is super flattering and comfortable. It highlighted my waist, and flared out at my hips which made it easy to walk in all day long. I love the red and blue flower print, which can be worn to a formal event or day out on the town.

For my accessories I kept it simple with a matching red mini bag and the comfiest espadrilles.

I can’t wait to pair this red white and blue dress with wedges and a clutch for summer events, or a big straw bag for a tropical getaway! I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend. Happy Fourth of July!
