Last night, Kim Newport-Mimran brought her Spring/Summer 2012 Collection back from New York Fashion Week to the runway at Toronto’s LG Fashion Week.
The collection had beautiful separates that were wearable and very refined. I love white, and I’m glad to see it’s back again next Spring, with an injection of colour and a beautiful blue rose print. I died over the skirts with gold coins that delicately jangled as models walked.
Andrej Pejic, the internationally known gender-bending model strutted down the runway. He took a final walk with Newport herself, and even helped her recover from a fall at the end of the runway.
Pink Tartan will always be a go-to Canadian label or preppy elegance.
