What I wore: Nordstrom Eaton Gala

I wanted to share what I wore to the Nordstrom Eaton Gala, on the eve of the Nordstrom Yorkdale Gala! For this charity event, I wore a Kate Spade dress, Ferragamo Pola bow heels, Kendra Scott earrings and a quilted wallet on chain. nordstrom-eaton-gala-1-of-6 The Nordstrom Eaton Gala was so much fun. I came down to Toronto for it in the midst of my first week of school, but I loved the whirlwind trip! Guests got to walk the red carpet, get photos taken at a stop and repeat, and preview the store before it opened a couple days later. There was also a stunning fashion show, that showcased Nordstrom's collections. I really enjoyed seeing some of Nordstrom's luxe designer pieces—think Marchesa gowns—go down the runway. Celebrity guests included models Hilary Rhoda and Petra Nemcova, as well as Toronto Mayor John Tory in the front row. The best part, was that the gala raised over $270,000 for six Toronto-based charities! If you're still hoping to go to the Yorkdale gala, tickets are on sale here.

NEON Clothing Toronto + Canada’s Wonderland outfit

NEON Clothing on Queen West re-opened their doors last month in Toronto, offering lifestyle, adventure and fashion under one roof. I had the chance to visit the Canadian retailer, and pick out an outfit for a weekend of exploring Canada's Wonderland!

I was so impressed by their store design. All of the fixtures were for sale too, and I wanted to take off with an industrial chic pendant lamp, or a vintage Vespa vestibule! NEON Toronto carries both mens’ and ladies fashion as well as a hefty shoe and accessory section. I also spotted some on-trend bomber jackets from authentic outfitter, Alpha Industries. There were plenty of waterproof Timberland boots and Fjällräven backpacks for taking on the Canadian climate. I also really liked their wide selection of Levi’s jeans, shirts and dresses. how to wear fjallraven backpack I picked out a Billabong daisy print blouse, classic Levi's 501 jeans and a flamingo pink Fjällräven Kånken backpack in peach pink. I wanted a colourful, but practical outfit. The pieces also can be mixed with other favourites from my closet for a myriad of looks.

Cirque du Soleil Luzia in Toronto review

In August, I went to Cirque du Soleil Luzia in Toronto and it was absolutely phenomenal! I know this might come too little too late, but I wanted to write a quick post about the experience, and you can still grab tickets to see the show until October 16! cirque-du-soleil-luzia-toronto-6-of-6 I wanted to channel the nature and colours of Mexico, so I wore this floral lace dress from Mendocino. I love the unique print and texture of this lace, as well as the bright teal colour. I paired it with my comfy Vince Camuto heels and my new medium Prada Galleria bag. This outfit felt dressy and fun!
