I’ve always dreamed of being an equestrian, but save for a few lessons, I’ve never really dived into the sport. One aspect that I’ve definitely loved about riding though are the boots! I love a good pair of riding boots and was over the moon when I received this buttery-soft Italian-made pair from La Canadienne. The brand is based in Montreal, and ALL of their boots are made in either Canada or Europe. The Payden boot compliments everything in my wardrobe – from date night dresses to casual jeans. I love that they almost go over the knees for a trendy touch, but still have a classic equestrian shape. The soles are also Vibram rubber, so I know these will last a long time without constant trips to the cobbler. They were a bit hard to break in at first, but the leather is such high quality and the construction is exquisite! I’m definitely considering another pair from the brand, this time waterproof for the harsh Ottawa winters!

Accessories can definitely make an outfit, and layering dainty gold chains is a great way to personalize your jewelry, and add edge to your casual look. My simple white jeans and tee outfit is elevated by the cool gold necklaces. To make layering simple, choose a shorter, bar necklace like Foxy Originals’ Sparkle Necklace and then layer a longer necklace in the same metal, like the Strength necklace I’m wearing. I love that all of these pieces are made in Canada, and are gold plated so that it won’t go green on your neck! I also love that their prices are super affordable and arrive in your mailbox ready to gift in a cute little box. You can enter to win the Strength Necklace in Gold below… make sure to leave a comment and follow Foxy Originals on Facebook & Twitter to be entered into the jewelry giveaway!

I plan a low key holiday season with my daughters. They will be home from college and have no studying since they will be between semesters. We love these few weeks together.
