Fall for me is all about mixing textures and prints in layers and different combinations. I decided to do a little bit of pattern mixing in this outfit, where I paired an oversized houndstooth coat over a sparkly pale pink dress and quirky polka dot tights.
My coat is c/o SheInside, my dress is c/o Nowistyle, the tights are from H&M, my shoes are Ferragamo and I’m wearing my favourite fall purse, the Kate Spade Maggie in Midnight.
I know it might be considered a fashion don’t to wear navy and black, but I don’t mind it mixed in with the patterns. This bag is so practical and versatile, everyday I’m finding more ways to wear it. Pink is one of the big trends for fall this year, and I think this pale blush colour is pretty and appropriate for the winter season. The texture and iridescent sparkles give it a winter touch, especially when it’s worn with layers.
It’s taken me a while to embrace the chillier fall weather and dressing that comes with it, but I’m glad I have a few statement pieces to transition into this new season. Next stop: finding the perfect winter parka!
I am obsessed with the pattern mixing you’ve got going on here. I would never have thought to put these items together but I love it! Those tights are awesome – I need to get some of those!

Thanks Ashley! I think the way to pull it off is to wear a solid (like my dress) to break up the prints… keeping it within the same colour family helps too. These polka dot tights are amazing… I own both the Urban Outfitters ones (links in my post) and ones from H&M, I find that they’re cute and go with everything!
Love how you blended the different textures! Really fun for Fall!
