This look was inspired by nature. Combining birds, flowers and insects into a look that is dark and glamourous.
I did a photoshoot for my friend Andra yesterday. The concept was to have three girls in dazzling makeup and white fabric as a teaser for her year-end collection that will be shown at Mass Exodus 2012. I kept the makeup on (despite the crazed looks of strangers on the subway) because I was so inspired by the work, and I never go all out like this!
I’m wearing a dress from Forever XXI, tights from Victoria’s Secret and my lace shoe booties were a gift. This look combines feminine gothic elements with a touch of chinoiserie which is brought out by the delicate floral print.
My McQueen knuckle duster clutch is from the Red Carpet Collection at Town Shoes. I think the skulls are the perfect compliment to my dark makeup.
I’m wearing thigh highs from Victoria’s Secret. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with stockings and garters, and these stockings were worn by Adriana Lima in the 2011 Victoria’s Secret fashion show, with a navy merry widow and black angel wings. I might head down and buy the same outfit so that VS can recruit me for next year (in my dreams…)
This makeup was so inspiring and fun to wear. I adored the theatrics of the feather eyelashes and extreme smokey eye. Until I get my wings, the feathers on my eyes and this outfit and can make me still be a dark angel. A girl can dream right?
I’m in love with everything about this! The graveyard by Sherwood Park?
Thank you so much!!! Actually it’s the graveyard at York Cemetery lol!
