Gosh Makeup Review

I’m always looking to try different beauty brands to incorporate into my routine. I wanted to share this GOSH makeup review of some of their products from their Fall/Winter line. I love that GOSH is certified cruelty-free, and available at Shoppers Drug Mart. The quality is incredible, with strong pigmentation, and a blendable formulation. Here are some of my favourite GOSH makeup products, as well as a beauty look incorporating some of these items.

Fibre Mascaras are huge right now, and GOSH’s Lash Sculpting Mascara contains seaweed as well. The black is very dark and the brush makes it easy to apply. I also love that it doesn’t have any scent, it’s perfect for sensitive eyes!

The Rebel Eyes Mascara was a little different, as it had a curved, rubber brush. I found it was definitely great for giving a defined curl. The formulation contained seabuckthorn oil, which is a unique ingredient for a mascara!

The Velvet Touch Lipstick Matt was probably one of my favourite products I tested for this GOSH Makeup review. I love the Rose colour, it is such a pretty, tea rose and the formula is very matte, but still provides moisture. The formula contains vitamin E and vegetable oils, which makes it the perfect matte lipstick for winter!

I also tested out some contour products from the brand. GOSH LUMIDROPS Liquid Highlighters are a MUST-HAVE if you are looking for a luminescent glow. I would compare the lighter colour to Benefit’s High Beam, except I love the precise drop applicator on this bottle, and find the glow to be more luminescent and bright. The deeper gold colour is also great on deeper skin tones.

The CONTOUR’N STROBE KIT palette is very handy, especially for travel. I love that the contour shade isn’t too deep for fair skin tones, and that a more cool shade is included! As someone with cool toned skin (aka my veins are blue and not green), I find many contour powders look “dirty” or “muddy” on my fair skin. I usually end up using bronzers instead, but this powder, specifically the quarter to the bottom right is perfect for my skin tone. The blush is a very natural peachy pink shade, while the highlighter is mostly light pink. I find this palette to be very natural overall, and great for everyday use.

I also tested out some skin products from their range. The PRIMER PLUS+ Skin Perfector gave more of an illuminating glow underneath makeup, but I prefer my primers to be pore minimizing. I might use this on top of makeup for a highlight. I gave my mom the Overnight Primer Oil Essence to test out, as my skin is sensitive to oil products, and she found it to be a lighter alternative to a full on moisturizer.

#FOUNDATION DROPS are a great take on the “Foundation Drop Trend” Sadly, I found both of these shades a little bit too dark for my skin tone, but I love the concept of mixing a couple drops of each to create the perfect foundation colour!

I also fell in LOVE with the 9 Shade palette, To be Cool in Cophenhagen. This palette is a matte shadow DREAM. Lately, matte eyeshadow palettes have been in the spotlight, but this affordable iteration contains all cool-tones that blend together for seamless, smoky looks. I love every single colour in this palette, and have been using it a lot. I like that you can create a cool, purpley taupe eye, as well as a muted beige eye, and a classic silver/grey smokey look too. It’s very versatile and I love that the pans are close together and full of product. This palette is very compact and slim for travel, and has a great mirror. I’ve been recommending it to a few friends that are a bit tired of warm matte shadows! Especially on cool-toned people, this one looks amazing, and compliments grey, blue, black and hazel eyes especially.

Another product not pictured individually (but in the group shot at the top) was the GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Stick. I am OBSESSED. It is my little secret for 5 minute makeup. I swipe some of it in my crease, blend with my fingers, add some mascara and I’m good to go! It also works really well with liquid metallic shadows added on top of the lid. I tested out the shade “Nougat” which is perfect transition shade for any eyeshadow look. It’s so blendable and creamy too, I’m thinking of getting some more shades!

Here, I’ve combined several GOSH products for a beauty look. I’m wearing the Matt lipstick in Rose, the Copenhagen eyeshadow palette (I chose shades in the right column of the palette), the Lash Sculpting mascara, the Countour Kit, and some Lumi Drops in the lightest shade for some highlight.

For the look, I really love all the products I used. Especially the eyeshadow and lumi drops! I hope this GOSH makeup review was helpful if you’re considering the brand. GOSH products are conveniently available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Products were gifted to me, but opinions are all my own.
