Fall is a second spring. Surrounded by beautiful leaves, pristine lakes and scenic trails, Gatineau Park is a natural oasis, especially when it comes to life in the fall season. I was lucky enough to have a chance to visit a few weeks ago (when the leaves were at peak!) with Patty from Fashion Canadians to take some pictures in the beautiful park. A mere 20 minute drive from Ottawa, I’ve been to Gatineau Park area last winter to ski, but I had no idea about the scenery. Pink Lake was definitely my favourite, a meromictic lake – which gives off a stunning turquoise colour! Here are some shots Patty took of me.
I’m wearing a Zara floral romper (similar fall romper), backwards tiara from Zara (similar backwards headband from BHLDN), purple tights c/o Secret, nude lace up flats from Zara (similar lace up flats from Loeffler Randall, cheaper lace up flats from Old Navy), and my beige MAB tote by Rebecca Minkoff.

I love the way these lace up flats contrast with my berry-hued tights. It’s a great way to continue wearing the lace up flats trend as the days get colder! I also like how my beige back matches perfectly, creating a monochrome look that’s on trend as well. This tote was perfect for tossing an extra scarf or pair of gloves as our walk got chilly. The saffiano leather of the MAB tote is also very sturdy!
Backwards tiaras are an elegant hair trend that are taking over the couture and bridal worlds. They can be a little tricky to stay in your head (definitely tease underneath and secure with bobby pins), but offer a subtle dose of princess sparkle in your beauty look!
Here are some of my favourite backwards headbands:
I’m a little bit sad that most of the leaves are already down, but a walk through Gatineau Park in October was unforgettable!
