Galaxy Print Leggings

Here’s a quick outfit post that was inspired by my desktop. I fell in love with these space leggings when I found them for only $12 at Urban Planet. My sister has a pair of galaxy jeans from H&M and I am forever on the hunt for a pair in a size 27. My search has so far failed me. Urban Outfitters had a pair of galaxy jeans too, but they were way too expensive at $68 for the mediochre quality and poor fit on my body. So, I quenched my thirst with this economical pair, which is actually a very good quality print. The seams are well made as well, they are surprisingly long enough for me… and my wallet is still happy.

I was having a bad skin day when I took these photos, so I covered up with a floppy wool hat in aubergine from H&M. The hat was around $15 and hasn’t started to pill yet. I love the colour and the way it adds an instant sense of glamour and mystery to an outfit, as if I am fulfilling my childhood dream of being Carmen Sandiego. All I’m missing is a matching trenchcoat.

I’m also wearing an aubergine sweater to stay monochromatic and compliment, instead of distract from the print on my leggings. My suede booties are BCBGeneration… and not Jeffrey Campbell. I actually bought these a couple years before the whole JC craze, and I admire their classic style and rugged sole.

I’m looking forward for it to be warm again soon so I can wear these leggings again. Until then, I will have to admire the galaxy on my desktop with a special little addition…
