Cottage outfit: Off-the-shoulder-dress

cottage outfit off-the-shoulder-dress

In the summertime, I love throwing on a breezy dress over my bathing suit for a casual look. An off-the-shoulder dress is a silhouette that comes and goes, but right now, it’s one of 2015’s hottest fashion trends! I’ve had this Show Me Your Mumu off-the-shoulder dress for a couple years, and while it is the perfect beachy coverup, I’ve been wearing it nonstop at the cottage.

I’m wearing a Show Me Your Mumu off-the-shoulder-dress, fedora from Forever 21, Birkenstock Gizeh sandals, a St. Andrews Lady watch c/o Daniel Wellington and Alex and Ani bangles.

I love how off the shoulder dresses are a cute option for casual summer days. I’ve been coveting this Chicwish Dress, and love Harper Bazaar’s slideshow on the hot trend. You can shop some of my favourite off-the-shoulder dresses in the slideshow below!

While it can be daunting to wear Birkenstocks with a dress, I love pairing these comfy slides with a dress or shorts for an easygoing look. While Birks might have been last year’s top trend, they can’t be beat for quality loungey footwear. I’m obsessing over a metallic copper pair right now!

That weekend, we were celebrating our new little fishing boat with a small bottle of champy! We drank it dockside of course!

I love that this Show Me your Mumu dress is made in the beautiful USA, and the print is so unique! The billowy sleeves are very flirty, while the cool chiffon fabric is breezy and dries quickly when wet. I couldn’t recommend this dress enough as a beach coverup!
