Chambray denim shirts have gone from the farm to everyone’s stylish closet in the past couple seasons. I paired this chambray denim shirt with a cute pink skirt and pastel accessories for a cute, casual summer look.
I’m wearing a chambray denim shirt from Joe Fresh (old, similar here), a pink skirt from H&M (old, similar here), Kate Spade for Keds cork sneakers, lilac tote from Indigo (sold out, similar here), rose gold watch from Macy’s, bracelets from Forever 21 and Indigo.

The trick to wearing chambray denim shirts without looking like you came from the country is to pair either girly accessories and colours, or elegant details. This pink skirt instantly updates the casual shirt into a flirty outfit, but I kept the look simple with no-fuss sneakers. The chambray denim shirt could also work with a black and white graphic printed skirt, a floral print or sexy leopard as well.
This lilac tote is the perfect carryall for the beach, or for back to school. It can easily fit my laptop, camera and a couple books. Since it’s made of PVC, it’s not very heavy either.
Right before we took these pictures, a massive black cloud out of a movie came over Yorkville and it poured for 15 minutes. Right after the clouds went away, it was beautiful and sunny again. This seems to be the pattern we’ve been having this summer in Ontario, so a long-sleeved shirt is a good choice when it can get cold and wet in an instant! I’ve been wearing this chambray denim shirt all summer, both in the city and at the cottage, and I’m sure I will carry this piece right into fall with coloured jeans or a wool skirt and tights.
I adore the skirt <3
I dig those shoes! I also like how they match your wrist bling 🙂
