Burberry Beauty review

The Burberry brand is synonymous with classic styles and English simplicity. I was so excited to try a few products from the Burberry Beauty line and give a short review. I also pulled together a makeup look featuring Burberry Beauty to show you how I used the products from their signature beauty line.

First off, Burberry Beauty’s new Eau de Toilette, My Burberry is a beautiful perfume with florals, sweet pea and lemon flower. At the heart of this scent are decadent peonies, peach flowers and freesia, which are some of my personal favourite notes! I find it’s great for everyday and I love that it’s not too floral or summery, but also not too musky either. It’s effortless! I love how the bottle pays an homage to the signature Burberry trench. The horn cap that emulates a Burberry trench’s signature buttons, and the hand-tied ribbon on the neck of the bottle which is cut from the same gabardine cloth of those iconic coats! With the holidays around the corner, this scent a great way to treat a gal who loves Burberry!

I really enjoyed testing out Burberry Beauty’s Fresh Glow and Face Contour sticks. I like how the stick formula allows precise application, and the twist up applicator means it’s easy to access more product. The product itself is creamy and blendable. I preferred to layer them over my favourite mineral powder, and then finish off with a translucent setting powder to soften the contouring effect. I also used the Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen on my eyes to highlight my browbone and the inside corners of my eyes! I love multipurpose products and these skinny sticks would be great for travel.

The Eye Colour Cream blendable eyeshadow in Mink was gorgeous. I loved the rich metallic taupe colour and the way it created a silky pigmented layer on my lid. The Effortless Kohl Eyeliner in Antique Gold has a beautiful green-gold hue and looks great as a subtle eyeliner for day, or as a thin line layered over black liquid liner.

For my Burberry Beauty look, I used the Fresh Glow highlighting pen as a highlighter on my nose, cheeks, cupid’s bow, browbone, and inner eyes. I used the Burberry Eye Colour Cream eyeshadow in mink on my entire eyelid, and took the fresh glow again on the centre of my eyelid to create a lighter shade and add dimension. Lastly, I took the Effortless Kohl Eyeliner in Antique Gold and lined my upper lids and upper waterline, finishing with a light coat of mascara. This look is perfect for a day date or work. With neutral shades and a light touch of glimmer, I love how it coordinated with my leopard print trench.

While Burberry Beauty products are higher-end, I would definitely recommend the kohl eyeliner and perfume to add some luxury to your beauty routine. If you’re looking for a multipurpose product, the Fresh Glow highlighting pen is perfect for waking up tired eyes, contouring for fair-skin and highlighting your brow bone. The packaging is gorgeous, I really liked the textured feel of the boxes and the touches of signature tartan. You can find Burberry Beauty products at Holt Renfrew, or stay tuned for their grand opening at Sephora Square One this month!
