727 Fifth Avenue in New York is an iconic address, home to Tiffany & Co’s New York flagship. What makes this store even more special is its association with Audrey Hepburn in the film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I’ve always been inspired by the star’s elegant and minimalist style, helmed by Hubert Givenchy. I remember watching that film for the first time, in awe of her cool attitude. She might have been playing dressup in pearls, bijouterie and designer dresses, but she wore them with ease. Naturally, I had to pay visit to the store (my boyfriend is still disappointed there wasn’t actual “breakfast” at Tiffany’s) but we had fun browsing all the levels within the flagship.
I’m wearing a black cut out dress from Forever 21 (similar here), burgundy slipper flats from Zigi, a collar necklace from Jewelmint and my Prada sunglasses.
One of my favourite parts of the visit was getting to see the Tiffany diamond. Brilliant and elegant, I love the new necklace setting that was created a year ago in honour of the company’s 175th birthday. A couple years ago, I read a book about the history of the diamond industry, and reading about the famous diamonds (from the Koh-i-noor to the Tiffany) was my favourite part of the book!
The store was simple and timeless, just like the brand itself. I loved seeing all the stunning pearl jewelry, engagement rings and of course, the home ware. My boyfriend almost made off with a silver rocket ship, which I continue to tease him about today.
Wow!! lovely look!!!
