Hot pink suit

I had an Elle Woods moment this weekend. I can't believe it, but I'm the proud owner of a hot pink suit. This gorgeous set is c/o Talbots and it combines a bright shade of magenta with a clean, modern cut. talbots pink suit (4 of 10)talbots pink suit (8 of 10) talbots pink suit (5 of 10) This Talbots blazer is part of their 70th Anniversary Collection. The brand pulled 7 different pieces from 7 different decades of modern, classic style. For the 1980s, they brought back the power suit in an eye-catching colour in the Exclusive Anniversary Collection Blazer. The 1980s power suit was iconic, and I love how this one reimagines the silhouette with a more relaxed silhouette. Coloured suits were definitely more popular back then, and I love how this one is unapologetically bold. I'm obsessed with the thick fabric and gold button details. It's so preppy and lovely. I paired the Anniversary Collection blazer with the Hampshire Ankle Pants to create my hot pink suit. I love these pants with their straight cut and modern cropped length. I'd love to wear both pieces separately too, to create ample looks for the office and nights out. I pulled the look together with my Gucci Marmont belt for a touch of glam, that also complimented the blazer's gold buttons. [show_shopthepost_widget id="2866302"]

Meridian Spending Challenge: How to live on $100 for one week

Living in the city can be challenging financially. With rent, transit and entertainment, costs can add up quick. I was excited to take on the Meridian Spending Challenge to see how to live on $100 for one week. meridian pics (7 of 7) meridian pics (2 of 7) If you've been following my blog, you know that I can be frugal. While I love luxury pieces, I love a good deal or steal. This dress is adorable... and wait for it - it was $16 from Wal-Mart. While picking up groceries I snagged it up, because I loved the print and mock neck style (similar dress online here). I paired it with a pair of cheap and chic Just Fab velvet shoes (similar pink velvet heels), and amped up the look with my luxe new Gucci Marmont Shoulder Bag. The perfect pair of pumps: La Canadienne Renny

Since I started working, I've discovered more pieces that fit my lifestyle. The La Canadienne Renny pump can be dubbed my favourite pair of shoes. With luxurious suede, a perfect high heel and comfortable pitch, these shoes were made for walking. And it seems I'm in good company, as Canada's first lady, Sophie Trudeau has been seen wearing the La Canadienne Renny style dozens of times. best black pumps (7 of 7) best black pumps (3 of 7) I paired the La Canadienne Renny pump with a floral embroidered dress from SheIn. Travel Guide to Casa Battlo

On our first full day in Barcelona, we visited Casa Battlo. Casa Battlo is located on Passeig de Gracia, in the heart of Barcelona. One of Gaudi’s apartments, this museum is open to tourists, but also houses some offices and some people still live there! We walked from our hotel in El Born to the apartment, and it was a nice 15-20 minute walk with lots of sights along the way. casa battlo barcelona (10 of 16) casa battlo barcelona (15 of 16) casa battlo barcelona (12 of 16) For my visit to Casa Battlo, I wore a striped maxi dress from Winners (similar striped maxi dress here), a pair of espadrilles from Nine West,  sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana, and a blue leather bag from London (similar blue bag here).
