Apple Picking in Toronto

For a #FlashbackFriday I wanted to share some pictures from a couple months ago, when we went apple picking in Toronto. About 25 minutes outside of town is Applewood Farm Winery. Admission was $8 and you could fill up a huge bag of apples for about $20. I loved the rustic charm of the farm, hay rides and corn maze, which made a perfect backdrop for some fall pictures.

To go apple picking in Toronto, I wore a gingham plaid dress from Design Lab (also worn here to the beach and here to a party), a cropped denim vest, Tory Burch riding boots and a Rebecca Minkoff fringed crossbody bag.

We sampled apples along the way, finding the best trees and filling up our bag. I still have a few apples left in my fridge and they are delicious! I definitely think it’s a lot more fun to go apple picking in Toronto than to the grocery store. It’s a fun afternoon date and I loved seeing kids around get so excited about the fall season and nature.

This apple picking outfit is a bit corny, but I haven’t been since I was a kid! I knew I wanted to pair a country chic gingham dress with denim. It was so hot that day, so my boots were a bit impractical, but I think they completed the look! I would definitely re-wear this outfit with a longer denim jacket and tights now that it’s chilly outside.
