Spring ready in polka-dot jeans and cat loafers

I know I talk a lot about the weather on my blog, but this week, Toronto has seen a lot of ups and downs. Two days ago, I left my house wearing a pretty silk shirt, polka-dot jeans and cute cat loafers. The next day, I spent the whole day inside after over a foot of snow covered the city in a blanket of fresh powder. This outfit is a casual but cute approach to spring. Polka-dot jeans are a fun twist on a classic, and a colourful silk blouse adds punch.

I’m absolutely in love with my Michael Kors Selma bag. I bought it in Florida, and I couldn’t believe I found it as a store transfer in the outlet! I snatched her up and she is an amazing all-purpose bag for work or evening. I love that I can carry along books and my lunch, and there are so many pockets inside. I’ve worn this bag in a +30C humid rainstorm and in a -30C snowstorm, and the leather is tough to withstand what’s thrown at it, while also being beautiful with a croc embossed finish. I’m working on a video review of this Michael Kors Selma bag, so check back soon!

I love bright neon shirts, but sometimes, I find it hard to achieve a beauty look that is neither mousy or too loud. I could have gone nude in the lip, but I decided to amp it up with YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in #11, Rose Culte. It’s a deep raspberry that works well with a lot of colours, and I think it can even compliment my neon shirt as well.

These ballet flats are so darling. I’m a true crazy cat lady, and love anything with a cat motif. I’ve always loved the original Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flat, but I could never justify $700+ for a pair of velvet flats that would inevitably get ruined on the city streets. This pair by Persunmall fills my desire. I received a size 39, and unfortunately they were too small for me to wear for long periods of time. Luckily they fit my sister (a size 37.5), but I would suggest ordering a size up. It’s a shame for me, but at least I can admire them!

These polka-dot jeans from TopShop are easily my favourite pair. They are mid-rise and fitted in all the right places. I love rolling up the cuffs with ballet flats for a casual look, or wearing the cuffs down with a pair of single sole stilettos.

Until the snow starts melting again, I will get spring ready by adding pops of colour with pretty silk blouses and stocking up on a few more bright lipsticks!
