Leopard is one of my favourite things to wear, whether it’s in a dress, a purse or a cute top. I spent last week in Orlando, and had the chance to visit a couple amusement parks including my favourite, Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I had to dress the part, which is why I wore this breezy chiffon leopard top c/o Missguided with glam accessories and pretty lace shorts.
I started the day with a safari at Disney’s Kilimanjaro Safaris. It’s as close to an authentic safari you will get on this continent, complete with free-ranging animals and a bumpy ride on a jeep. I recommend you do this as soon as you enter the park to avoid lines, and catch animals while they’re more active. I did the safari later in the day again, and all the lions were hiding behind Pride Rock (yes, they have one there). It’s a magical experience and I came nose to nose with giraffes, zebras and a fancy looking ostrich.
There are also adventure trails in the African and Asian section where you can see animals in natural zoo settings. I love looking at the bats (the one above gave quite the show), and the majestic tigers.
The trails have ruins and fake artifacts, and I took some pictures in front of this pretty mural. My leopard top is c/o Missguided, my lace shorts are from Bluenotes (similar here), I’m wearing my Miu Miu glitter sunglasses, Michael Kors watch, a giraffe bracelet, and my new Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC in a beautiful periwinkle.
I love the tulip shape of this blouse, and the high neck. It’s very flattering and works for both summer with shorts or in winter with a pair of leather leggings.
The park has plenty of attractions, but I personally like to stick to watching the animals. The Tree of Life is at the heart of the park, and was carved by artists and features over 300 animals. Flamingos and kangaroos hang around the base of the tree, and I was inspired by the girly coral hues of the flamingos, making me reach for my favourite coral lipstick, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in #42.
The Birds of Flight show was incredible to watch. I’m a big owl fan and I got to go on stage and meet these guys.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a day in Disney World without meeting loveable characters like Mickey and Pooh.
I ended my day with the Finding Nemo Musical (this needs to get onto Broadway already!) and a pint of gluten free cider. I love Animal Kingdom because the zoo has a wide variety of animals with natural habitats, attractions for kids and fun shows thrown in there too.
Super awesome pics 🙂
Over cool outfit
