Once the leaves hit the ground and the air gets chilly, I can’t wait to slip into a pair of booties. From trendy pairs with buckles and cutouts to classic Beatle boots, this season is full of amazing styles. Here are some of my favourite booties for this season.
The Nine West Layea bootie is sexy, practical and edgy at the same time. I love the girly quilted details and the rugged lugg sole, which makes this boot slip-free and safe for when black ice hits. The heel has a little bit of a boost, but is thick so that you’re not teetering in these all day. I could easily wear them with a dress and tights or boyfriend jeans.
I’m a sucker for anything leopard and these Miu Miu calfhair booties are elegant and so fierce. The design is simple enough to let the wild print stand out.
The Tory Burch Azure bootie is a stunning, mermaid-inspired boot with a gilded caged heel complete with coloured gemstones. The teal iridescent leather isn’t the most practical for Toronto’s streets, but it is unique and simply gorgeous. I could only dream of stepping out in this pair with a dramatic cocoon coat.
Easily one of the most popular styles of the season, Jeffrey Campbell’s Everly cutout bootie is a flat practical boot with a twist. The cutouts reveal a flash of skin, or when the temperature dips, a cute pair of stockings or socks. I love the gold buckle hardware and the slim silhouette as well.
Aldo’s Kaligenia bootie is both cheap and chic. The ankle boot has a contrasting leather toe cap and sexy snakeskin. The buckles are tough and the thick high heel is just right. They would be the perfect companion to a pair of jeans!
The ASOS Apprise Leather Chelsea Point Ankle boot is a classic, reinvented. Expect to see a lot more takes on the traditional British Chelsea boot this season.
Valentino’s Rockstud Rainboots are a dream purchase for me. Rainboots are great for both muddy fall weather and snow. Wear a pair of warm wool socks once snow hits and you are protected from any snow or salt, the best part is that you can just wipe them clean! I love the black-on-black studs on this pair and am hoping to find a more affordable alternative!
Last, but not least, Sigerson Morrison’s Haircalf Vesta booties are the sexiest “cowboy boots” I’ve ever seen. With a modeled printed haircalf and sexy top slit, these boots are unique and versatile.
