There’s a century old rule that says you can’t wear white after labour day. In my opinion, fashion rules were meant to be broken, and fashion director of Marie Claire, Nina Garcia agrees with me in a recent tweet. I decided to go all out today and put together an all white look that encapsulates some major summer (and fall) trends.
I am wearing these amazing palazzo pants from H&M’s limited edition Divided line. They were near impossible to find, and I ended up buying them a few sizes too big, but I couldn’t resist the economical price tag and their perfect form. Palazzo pants are a big statement, so I kept things simple (and in the same monochrome white colour palette) with a white tank top.
I didn’t want to overpower the look with accessories, so I put on these gold pieces from Forever XXI. I love the filigree pattern of the bracelet, and the pave link ring is quickly becoming a new fave. I can’t believe that both pieces cost under $20 together!
I’m wearing beige leather pointy toe shoes from the GAP. They were part of their designer collection in the Spring, and I snatched them on clearance for a steal because they were the last pair… and shockingly in a size 39! Watch my YouTube video below to hear some tips on pulling off this look and what shoes to wear with palazzo pants and maxi skirts.
The best part about these pants are that they are so free and fun to move around in…
Even though cottage season might be over and the kids are going back to school with their clean backpacks, new lunch boxes and fresh notebooks, why not stand out on your first day of school with an eye-catching and chic ensemble in all white? Winter white was a huge trend on the runways, so until you can wear that cashmere wool coat, white accessories are definitely a go.
