This past weekend, my family and I went to Ottawa. I wore this outfit on the last night of our trip while enjoying the scenery and people watching along the Rideau Canal beside the Fairmont Chateau Laurier.
I love this dress for its vintage inspired floral print and tulle petticoat peeking out from beneath. It was off the rack, and luckily fit me like a glove.
It has the cutest feminine shape, that makes me feel like I’m from the 50s. I accessorized with a gold bracelet, Vivienne Westwood 3-strap jelly pumps and a vintage quilted leather bag.
I adore this bag! I couldn’t believe I only packed one handbag for a whole vacation, but I managed to coordinate it with everything I wore, and it kept me light and hands-free. The tassle and gold chain strap just add to the luxe appeal of this quilted leather bag from Lord & Taylor circa the 1980s.
I didn’t want to leave that one spot as the sun set on the canal, casting a gold glow on a chateau and our nation’s parliament.
graceful view of the bridge indeed
