Drama is all in the details. A simple little black dress can be turned up a notch with a contrasting peter pan collar, or bejewelled epaulettes. Accessories are instrumental in adding interest, and a dose of your own personality to an outfit. Even with a plain suit, a jacket with gold buttons looks infinitely more luxe than your standard tortoiseshell fasteners. I snapped these photos beside the Toronto Centre for the Arts, which has a garden featuring a dramatic mask. I wanted to echo the dramatic look I was wearing through the background to the shoot. Dramatically, it started to pour right as we started taking pictures… my feathers were drenched, but unfettered… my hair? Not so much.
