How to wear palazzo pants

Breezy harem pants and palazzo styles are very popular styles this summer, but who do you pull off wearing massive trousers? Proportion is key.

I’m wearing pastel floral-printed palazzo pants, a tank from H&M, a Modalu London crossbody bag called the Olivia and sequined flats from Target.

I decided to keep the focus on the lower half of my body and balance proportions by wearing a simple pale blush tank that blends into the pants. There is a little bit of accentuation along the collar and my hair is big to make sure my silhouette doesn’t read as a triangle.

I wouldn’t want to wear high heels or clunky wedges with these voluminous pants either. These sequined gold slippers from Target are a recent buy that go with everything. They add interest and draw your eye down the pants to create a longer line.

Proportion, drawing the eye down and dressing your top half in a neutral/monochromatic colour will help you pull off palazzo pants with ease, the perfect style for the dog days of summer.
