Lioness

This look, featuring items from the Versace for H&M collection was inspired by one of my favourite animals – the lion. I’ve always been drawn to the majestic creature, just like my fashion idol, Coco Chanel was. As a Leo, the lion was a recurring figure in her apartment, and was brought back again in Chanel’s Fall 2010 Haute Couture Show. While I was on vacation in Puerto Morelos Mexico, the hotel had a beautiful set of showers featuring feline heads that would shower you with water after a dip in the Caribbean sea.

I decided to harness that feline energy with a leopard print silk skirt from Versace’s recent collaboration with H&M.  I love the South Beach sunset print, and I was so happy to find the perfect background for this piece.

To accessorize the look, I wore the medallion bracelet from the Versace collection, as well as my Alexander McQueen look-a-like clutch.

To really feel like a lioness, I let my hair be natural. The humidity that day was over 95 per cent! But I could only dream of a warm sunset like that again…
