Coach Rogue bag review

Coach Rogue bag review

My first designer handbag was from Coach… I remember going to the Eaton Centre and purchasing it, with my first month’s worth of paycheques from my part time job. I’ve cherished it since, and picked up a few more Coach pieces along the way. I’ve always been a huge fan of their leather pieces, so I absolutely couldn’t say no to making a Coach Rogue bag review.

I’m wearing an olive Coach Rogue Bag, a striped lantern sleeve shirt from SheIn, embellished boyfriend jeans from H&M, and scalloped Finnley heels from Nine West.

I love how this outfit has modern elements, with vintage touches. The ripped jeans keep the puffy-sleeved shirt from looking too “Anne of Green Gables” while the scalloped heels add a girly touch to the look. I love how this outfit juxtaposes masculine elements (the jeans and the bag) with feminine style.

The Coach Rogue bag, from the Coach 1941 line, comes in dozens of colours. Embellished with flowers, snakeskin, fringed, grommeted… the Coach Rogue has already taken many forms. I’m wearing the black copper and olive Coach Rogue in Glovetanned Pebble leather, in the regular size. I find that it’s perfect for storing essentials, including my DSLR, wallet, water bottle, notebook, an iPad/e-reader and a mini umbrella. I also love that it has a few compartments and a convenient, built-in change purse with a vintage clasp. The feet on the bottom, piping and leather-covered metal handles add structure and function to the bag.

This bag is incredibly versatile. I’ve worn it with casual outfits consisting of a leather jacket, jeans and a tee, as well as printed floral dresses. If you remove the extra hang tags, I think it can also be a gorgeous work bag, and the olive colour will compliment black, grey and navy suits–I guess I’m gearing up for the lawyer life! While it’s not wide enough to fit files, I have been placing papers vertically in the outer suede-lined pockets and find it works really well. I love that the shape is slouchy, but still structured. Organization is key, and this bag does not miss a beat.

Probably my favourite part about this bag is the rich, glovetanned leather. I have a bunch of vintage Coach bags, and love the thick leather. This bag reminds me of that, and I can’t wait to see how it ages!

I go into detail of this bag in my latest YouTube video below:

Diclosure: this bag was gifted to me by Coach. Opinions my own!

Been on the hunt for a new bag and just came across this one… thanks for the review! I think I’m going with this in black or the rogue satchel… can’t decide!
