Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’re still looking for the perfect gift, I’ve rounded up some last minute Valentine’s Day gift ideas that will please any lady! From inexpensive finds to practical presents, there’s so many options if you are stopping by the mall after work.
A crisp pair of PJs is a great gift… especially if you take the set to your local mall’s alterations store and have them monogram the sleeves! This special customized touch adds a lot of class. Lingerie can be a bit difficult if you don’t know her size, but some luxurious silky satin pyjamas are a wonderful alternative.
Flowers. Jewelry. Cosmetics. Fragrance. Any of these gifts are a great option and readily available at your local department or drug store. Instead of roses, opt for a fresh pair of tulips. Roses are insanely marked up on Valentine’s Day, so a few bunches of tulips are sweet and colourful!
Some costume jewelry (the pieces featured here are Joe Fresh and Sears) make a nice little addition to a card and flowers, and can stand in for the “real thing” if you want to pick something out together. J. Crew and Nordstrom has a gorgeous selection of inexpensive costume jewelry pieces as well.
For cosmetics, a couple of luxurious pieces make for a thoughtful gift. Treat her to a luxurious Guerlain lipstick or nail polish, something a little bit luxurious she’d never buy for herself! Shoppers Drug Mart is everywhere and carries many high-end brands in their Beauty Boutique locations, in case you can’t make it to Sephora. Also you can enter to win some Guerlain products here.
Lastly, a delicious fragrance is always a great gift. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the COACH Eau de Parfum. Featuring a top note of raspberry leaves, a heart of Turkish roses and base of suede, this fragrance is quintessential Valentine’s Day. This wears lovely on younger ladies, or can be layered with another musk scent for someone more mature. I love that this rose perfume isn’t supper “old lady’s washroom” and has many delicious levels.
If your Valentine is obsessed with being active, treat her to a new pair of sneakers! Pictured above are the new Triumph ISO 3 running shoes from Saucony. I love the bright colours and exceptional padding. For the past couple months I’ve been wearing the Saucony Ride 9 and they have become my ultimate treadmill running shoe! They are SO cushiony and perfect for my old stress fractures and abused ballerina knees.
If you’re stopping into the mall tonight, head to Saje and pick up an ultrasonic diffuser and essential oil set. They even have Tantra oils to set the mood for tonight 😉
I also love getting coffee table books and groupons for exciting activities. A cute tea set or a Swell bottle is also a sweet gift!
I hope these last minute Valentine’s Day gift ideas can help if you’re stuck! Regardless how you mark this holiday, it’s all about showing your appreciation and dedication to one another! Happy Valentine’s Day.
Lovely ideas!! <3
