I wore this snakeskin print bow tie blouse with a suede skirt from Forever 21, over the knee boots & a leather bag for a chic look while visiting Montreal back in October. Whenever I visit, I like to stop by the Musée des Beaux Arts and fell in love with the Secret Garden, sculptures and beautiful houses that adorned the adjacent street. I felt that my outfit of earth tones matched the setting perfectly with the red bricks and wrought iron gates. This little street is also at the foot of Mont Royal, which is another must-see when you’re in the city.
I’m wearing a snakeskin print bow tie blouse from Altuzarra for Target (similar here), button up suede skirt from Forever 21, over the knee boots by Chinese Laundry (similar 5050 boots here), and a Mackage bag.

The museum itself is in the heart of downtown Montreal, close to shopping, bars and nice restaurants. I love coming to the museum because it’s free for visitors and has many amazing paintings by Canadian artists, including Kent Monkman which is one of my favourite contemporary artists.
Around the corner from the museum is Crudessence, a vegan eatery that serves amazing meals! Perfect for brunch or lunch, I love their vegan lasagna or their burgers. It’s incredible to think how they can make nuts taste like ricotta! While I’m not a vegan by any means, the entire kitchen is gluten free so it’s safe for celiacs. The atmosphere is cozy and I really recommend it!
For shopping nearby the museum, I love Simons and Ogilvy, both Quebec-based department stores. I also have good luck at the Zara in Eaton Centre, and enjoy shopping along the street… it reminds me of Europe!
It’s funny how every time I visit Montreal I fall back on old favourites, but I would wholly recommend making the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts one of the stops on your itinerary! And, if you have time, stop by the outside of the building to check out their street art installations that switch up every so often, I kind of fell in love playing the Pacman maze in October!
