1. A Personalized Locket
Pandora is a perfect choice for Mother’s Day. The brand is known for their charm bracelets, but this season, just in time for mother’s day, there’s the Floating Heart Locket. Inside, your mom can swap out little charms that move freely within the locket. It’s a neat effect, and definitely customizable. I also love that the piece is versatile and can be worn without the charms as well. The $30 – $55 price point for the charms inside are also extremely accessible!
I’m wearing the Floating Heart Locket with Infinite Love Petites charms. I styled it over a white pleated blouse with bell sleeves from H&M, high-waisted jeans from American Eagle, and a Gucci Marmont belt. This outfit is super simple, and allows my accessories to shine. I love layering dainty jewelry pieces over a white blouse or t-shirt for a simple, elegant look. The white blouse makes for the perfect blank canvas and highlights the locket’s moving pieces.
2. Cozy PJ’s
Upgrade mom’s worn out tshirt and sweats with a pair of gorgeous pyjamas. This set is from La Vie en Rose, and features beautiful print that isn’t too overly feminine, but not drab either! I love the silky, slinky feel of the material.
3. A signature scent
Perfume is a difficult gift… so I always suggest to go with a classic, well-rounded scent. Mon Guerlain, the newest addition from the famed beauty brand features key notes of jasmine, lavender and vanilla. All three of these key notes are universally loved, and the combination is feminine, but grounded by warm sandalwood. I also love the elegant, understated bottle. It makes the perfect vanity set piece, while the scent is long-lasting and good for both summer and winter.
4. Wellness
My mom is a huge fan of Saje Natural Wellness. I’ve talked about their products before, and how they help me deal with school/exam-related stress, and help me focus. A great starting point is the Night and Day Remedy Bar, which features four rollerballs that will help mom unwind, and is under $50. Peppermint Halo helps combat headaches (but this has now become my hangover secret weapon), Sleep Well helps you fall into a pleasant slumber, Energy is revitalizing, while Stress Release packs lavender oil to help deal with daily stress. I love that this kit is ready for gifting with the chic wood block. It’s currently out on display at my boyfriend’s apartment, and matches the decor perfectly!
5. Cottage Bound
Kick off cottage season with a gorgeous new tote from Tuck Shop Trading Co. This bag is a collaboration between Tuck Shop and Poolside, and available at their Yonge and Summerhill location. Beyond the straw totes, I love their City of Neighbourhoods collection, which features tuques and tees featuring different neighbourhoods around the city. This gift would make the perfect complement to a floral bouquet or tea set!
