This look was inspired by some of the colours in Paris. Pastels are one of the hottest trends for Spring and look fresh even in a winter setting. While the blooms aren’t out yet in the Jardin des Tuileries, pastel blazers and easter-egg coloured dresses are popping up on fashionable girls (and boys!) everywhere.
I’m wearing a pastel blue blazer from H&M, a white and black trimmed chiffon blouse from a department store in the States, an accordion pleat skirt from Costa Blanca and a pile of vintage accessories.
I love colour-blocking with pastels… it gets me in the spirit of Easter and reminds me of a delicate garden. It’s a fun twist on the neons and saturated colours we wore last summer.
This blouse reminds me of all the gorgeous wrought-iron balconies on all the apartments in the city. The black flowing trim creates an interesting detail and a ruffle top is a great way to distract from large breasts… or create some if you have none like me – haha.
I don’t know what exactly was going on in this picture, but the Jardin des Tuileries is still beautiful nonetheless. I can’t believe I only have two days left in Paris, I’m already running out of outfits, and haven’t seen enough of what this beautiful city has to offer.
