Charlotte Tilbury launched her eponymous makeup line in Canada at Holt Renfrew earlier this year, and I was excited to test out a few of her greatest hits as part of the Sophisticate Signature Look.

Beauty is growing to be a big part of this site, and my life, so I wanted to dedicate one day a week on this platform to discuss my favourites, share tutorials and post upcoming releases. While I’m busy with school, my sartorial choices aren’t always blog-worthy, and I have yet to find an Ottawa-based photographer to work with. Beauty is something I’ve always been obsessed with behind-the-scenes and is something I want to highlight more on this platform! I’m also looking forward to sharing more posts as the months get colder, and it gets impossible to shoot my daily outfits outside! For my first “Makeup Mondays’ post, I’m sharing a Charlotte Tilbury makeup review and look inspired by her Sophisticate makeup collection!

I wore this makeup look last weekend to my trip to Niagara Falls. It features subtle, neutral eyeshadow, a brown liner, rosy cheeks and a shiny nude lip.

The Sophisticate Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette is one of my favourites! The packaging is elegant and simple and the colours are just gorgeous. Complete with a highlight, mid tone and two darker colours perfect for the crease or liner, this is versatile and all you need. First, I used my favourite eyeshadow primer and I used the lightest shade to highlight my browbone and inner corners. Then, I took the matte brown shade at the top right and blended it into my crease. I took an angled brush and used the mauve to deepen the colour in my crease while my eyes were still open. I blended that, and took some more of the darkest colour to gently line my lower lashes. Last, I cleaned my brush and took the highlight shade again and put a tiny dab on my centre eyelid to highlight and create a 3D effect.

Next, I took the eyeliner pencil in Audrey and lined my upper lids and upper waterline. I absolutely adored this pencil. It went on smooth like butter! The colour is a gorgeous brown and works perfect with my light eyes. I finished my eyes with a bit of the Full Fat Lashes Mascara in Glossy Black.

I finished the look with an easy swipe of the Lip Lustre in High Society. The rosy pink colour is very pretty on the lips without being over powering. I didn’t like the stickyness, but the colour was very long-lasting and the shimmer made it worth it. I’m not a huge gloss fan to begin with, but the colour was PERFECT!

I wore this makeup look last week to my Niagara trip and I love the way the soft rosy neutrals complimented my blush dress and the pretty surroundings in Niagara wine country!

I like that Charlotte Tilbury offers an all-in-one Signature Look with full sizes. The Sophisticate featured a great classic selection of shades, and they all coordinated into one cohesive makeup look, which could also be changed up by adding deeper colours, a red lip, or a winged eyeliner to switch it up. The set took away guessing and it was easy to get my makeup done quickly! It would also make a great holiday gift, wrapped up in the cute kiss print makeup bag!
